Back to School Info

Hello everyone! It was so great meeting many of you at back-to-school night! If you weren’t able to make it, I will send home the pertinent information with your students before the end of the week!

I wanted to put the link to on here as well to encourage those of you having trouble to log on!

If you haven’t yet made an account, it’s so simple! Just click on “Sign Up today!” and enter the 4 pieces of information about your student. It will automatically upload all of your student's classes and info!

If you have logged on and still need to pay for your student’s $25 year fee:  Check under “School Store” and “School Invoices” and it will be listed!

If you have completed all the above and need to pay for your student’s $15 t-shirt fee: Check under “School Store” and “Categories”. Select “Band, Orchestra, Choir” and then select the “Chorus T-Shirt”.

Finally, we will be uploading the formal concert attire on to the “School Store” next week! You will select the same choices – School Store > Categories > Band, Orchestra, Choir, and then the particular attire pieces your student needs! Do not worry about measuring/sizing- we are taking care of that in school!

Thank you again for your patience while learning this new system, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns!!!

Happy third week of school!

Ms. Harmon

Greeting from Ms. Harmon

Hello LB Chorus Families!

I cannot overstate my excitement for the start of the new year! I am finally moved back to the NoVA area and am getting ready to begin (again) as a Bruin in the Fall!  Here is a little about me if we haven't had the chance to meet yet.

Happy Summer-relaxing,

Ms. Harmon

Ps: Details about BOOT Camp are coming very soon and the date of the Children's Concert will be reviewed in August when teachers are back to school. Thanks for your patience!

Ms. Harmon is thrilled to be back at Lake Braddock after her years of teaching in Bradenton, Florida. Born in Burke, VA and having attended LBSS, Ms. Harmon was a chorus student of the one and only, Megan Cartwright! Participating in Bel Canto, Select Women, LB Singers, and as a student director, Ms. Harmon couldn't get enough of the choral department!

After graduating from Lake Braddock in 2010, Ms. Harmon completed her Bachelor's of Music in Music Education at James Madison University, where she had the opportunity to study conducting and choir under the direction of Dr. Bryce Hayes and Dr. Van der Vat Chromy. While there, she sang in the JMU Chorale and both sang and directed the Treble Chamber Choir.  In her final year at James Madison University, Ms. Harmon was selected as the American Choral Director's Association (ACDA) Student Conductor for JMU's 2013 ChoralFest.

Ms. Harmon has many passions, including her love of singing, baseball (Go Nats!), reading, and traveling (most recently to Peru to see Machu Picchu). She is especially looking forward to experiencing the beautiful Virginia Fall season, and all the fun outdoor activities the DC area has to offer.
